iVMS-4200 Hikvision display resolution problem

Hi, I have a user that is running iVMS-4200 from Hikvision to monitor their security cameras.  This station in question is a Windows 7 16 gigs of ram, Geforce 750 video card, dual monitors in hi resolution with two curved Samsung 34 inch displays.

When we try to open the iVMS client we get an error message "display resolution is less that 1024*768, are you sure you want to start the program?".  We say yes, but the client goes in wierd resolution and we can't do anything but ctrl alt delete our way out.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you have the ability to set DPI scaling on your setup? This article suggests setting back to 100 from 125 fixes IVMS resolution issues.

I had a scaling issue with my (now defunct) In-Focus projector. Fixing the scaling and display refresh fixed the issue in my case.

I'd ask the manufacturer. Clearly, their program is not compatible to that high resolution and would need a patch.

Thanks John I'll try that.  McKnife, I called then, they said they had never heard of that.  I called back, got someone else, they said the same thing.

John after reading that, I think that is it, I can't wait to try it.

I had a similar issue with ACT! and my surface book.  I had to mess with that to get it to a setting I can see stuff.

Thanks all, that did it John, this person had their scaling (size of stuff?) super high, she must be blind, when I took that away, it worked!  I guess she is going to have to make a choice.
