I am looking to implement shared project calendars across our teams. We are currently set up on Office 365 Business Premium. The calendars will need to be accessed by users on Microsoft Outlook (Desktop install), Microsoft Outlook Online and on mobile devices.

I have looked at creating new accounts for each calendar (project) however was wondering if there was a way to use the Public Folders function. It seems like it is possible but is limited for the Online and Mobile versions.

Any help would be appreciated.

public calendars and shared calendars are not viewable on mobile devices. mobile devices are limited in their ability and that is one of them. you will need to use outlook client and you can use OWA. See link for setting up OWA to view public folders.

Thanks for that.

It is needing to be used on site at the projects so we may have to go down the path of seperate accounts. I had thought it had changed very recently to become viewable.

If you use the new sharing model, you can actually access shared calendars on mobile devices (by shared here I mean a calendar in a user/shared mailbox). You will need to do the sharing and accepting via the mobiles though, or via OWA, unless you are using Office Pro Plus 1805 or later. PFs are still not accessible on mobiles, and probably never will be.
