Enable x230t & Macbook Pro laptops to receive HDMI inputs
I need to make my laptops ( Lenovo x230t and Macbook Pro 12" retina released in end 2015)
to be able to receive HDMI inputs (rather than the usual HDMI outputs) so that I could watch
Netflix streaming from my Telco's Set Top box : basically watching movies from 2 bedrooms
Any gadgets/accessories to recommend? I guess softwares alone on the laptops won't work
or will it?
I do have 21" LCD computer screens that I can spare but they don't have HDMI input ports,
only VGA input ports (maybe with audio inputs)

then use a hdmi2vga cable. (cheap solution) it gets rapidly more expensive when you use other options.
Netflix ought to work on both of those PCs using one of the web browsers so you don't need to connect the "Telco's set top box" to them, at all.
But; if you want to watch what is being displayed on the TV screen, you will need an HDMI capture card and it will either be one for each PC or you'll need an adapter cable for one of them.
