Outlook 2007 not responding when trying to view Calendar

I have a client who is currently still using Outlook 2007 (I know) and it is freezing up when moving from emails to calendar.

When I load Outlook in safe mode it works perfectly. So I went in an disabled all the addins in trust centre.

However the freezing still occurs when Outlook is loaded in normal mode.

What else should I consider trying to resolve this?

Clear the outlook profile and recreate it, obviously back up his NK2 file.

Actually I have traced the problem.  A user who recently left had shared a calendar with the other staff members. That user has now left and their mailbox has been deleted. That seems to be causing Outlook calendars to repond slowly.
