Accessing Json data

I have a ajax function which returns some json....

	"data": {
		"type": "slide",
		"id": "13",
		"attributes": {
			"slideID": 13,
			"slideGroupID": 1,
			"slideNumber": 2,
			"slideLocation": "Slide1.JPG",
			"slideLive": 1,
			"slideCurrent": 0,
			"slideHasVote": 0

How do I access the data using jquery. I need the slideLocation.
I thought this: console.log(data.attributes.slideLocation); but it doesn't work.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There needs to be some variable of which "data" is a property of. Please show us the success function for your AJAX call.
Chris StanyonWebDevCommented:
If that's the JSON that's being returned from your AJAX call, then you need to access the properties of the argument that's passed into the handler, so for example:

    url : 'getData.php',
    dataType : 'json',
    success : function(response) {
