we just installed outlook 2016

we are getting this error.(attached) while doing search

Is it on Windows 10 ? It say about upgrading windows search engine. Why don't  you give it a try ?

Do you know where this add-in comes from?  I do not have it here on either a non-Domain, or a Domain machine.

Have you tried uninstalling the add-in?

my windows indexing service is disabled , is it because of this my advance find in search is not working?

my last question, if i do normal search from my inbox , just search any email  past 90 days i get them but if i go to advanced find

and type same it pulls upto last 90 days emails only  , my group policy is caching emails upto last  90days only  that is 3 months old

i am bit curious as to why emails beyond 90 days email is not being searched in advanced find option.

i am not sure it is related to windows search service disabled or not.

do i need to create any registry hive changes in group policy

It may be searching just in the OST file. Make sure (upper right) in the search time frame and location that you have reset where and over what time you need to search. Check all the variables here.

Make sure in Advanced you set (bottom) Received, Anytime.
Make sure in Advanced you set (top) to Browse for what you want - default is inbox.

So the advanced find is different (because of all the details) than the simple find.

One thing it suggests is file corruption which could point to the OST file. You may try to rebuild it and see if that alters the search results.

This Microsoft article says Rebuild the search index. You turned this off, but it might be better ON.
