"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Use a distribution group with an email address attached to it, you'll need to create contacts within Active directory but you should NOT be scanning to external email accounts.

but that would mean that they all get the scans, the issue is a realtor's office, they all have different email addresses, gmail, yahoo etc, they asked me if they could do a scan to email to each of their own, i said i was going to research because as far as i know that is hotmail to hotmail only but not gmail to hotmail.

So what you do, scan to your email and then mail it back out to them all from your own internal account.

Oh what you wanted to do would have worked, but it goes against pretty much every security policy around. Not only that, if your company was audited for sarbanes oxley or any other audit, you would fail it immediately.

i see, ok that makes sense, better to be safe, i just decided to create a scan to folder shared it, and im creating a shadow copy on it, it just occur to me that this can also be a security bridge.. thank you really for the tip.
