Need Help Styling BBpress Forum Content

BBpress is squishing the replies from an SMF import.  Which seems to be confined to the initial questions in a thread only - Here is a screenshot

https://gyazo.com/6931713e036a97cad6fac7f29a8689ba

Please help me to un-squish the initial question and still be able to see this on a tablet and a smartphone.

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no way to see the issue for something like this with a screenshot.  From your screenshot, I see the link https://www.thefrugallife.com/forums/topic/buying-a-new-car/.

The issue is the containing div has the class, "topic" included.
<div class="odd bbp-parent-forum-19756 bbp-parent-topic-20293 bbp-reply-position-1 user-id-0 topic-author post-20293 topic type-topic status-publish entry">

Open in new window

Then in your custom.css line 1243 you have the following
div.topic {
    float: left;
    width: 215px;
    margin-left: 8px;
}

Open in new window

If you remove the width or not include the class, "topic" you will be fine.  Note the other comments have
<div class="even bbp-parent-forum-19764 bbp-parent-topic-20293 bbp-reply-position-2 user-id-142543 post-21972 reply type-reply status-publish entry"

As an aside, make sure to click the F12 key when you view your site to open up the dev tools. Once there, click on the Console tab and you will see some errors that could cause issues down the road.

I switched to a new theme because of google pagespeed issues.  Coincidentally, the problem went away.  Looking at the console it shows they took the width command out just like you suggested.

Thanks for the help.
