favorites desktop

is there anyway that I can move a specific favorites folder from Edge or Chrome bookmarks to my Desktop versus exporting it to another browser? I can manage my favorites a lot easier and I can do more things with them if the folder was on my Desktop versus being in the favorites folder Edge or Chrome.

Also where is the default location for Favorites folder in Edge and Chrome?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's not folder based.

Tell me, what would you like to do that you cannot do within the favorites manager of each browser?

This was my question that I posted"is there anyway that I can move a specific favorites folder from Edge or Chrome bookmarks to my Desktop versus importing from another browser"?

There a lot of favorites within a specific folder and they are mixed up. It is a lot easier to sort through them multiple items and delete or create another folder by copy and paste which I can not do with in the browser favorites settings. This is what I am trying to do.

Lastly, I asked where is the default location for Edge browser favorites? Please reply.

Thank you for the article . But my question is there a way to transfer or move the bookmarks folder one or all from Edge or Chrome to  a desktop folder?

In Edge, the Favorites folder is now located at %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\Favorites.

"It is a lot easier to sort through them multiple items and delete or create another folder by copy and paste which I can not do with in the browser favorites settings" - you can do that inside the browser, sorry, but this is all possible and easily done. Open chrome's bookmark manager. Renaming, url editing, drag and drop, folder creation... What are you missing? Same goes for edge.
