issue configuring new vCenter appliance

i'm building a new vCenter 6.7 appliance and having trouble with some config settings
might be missing something stupid, but see no option to edit general config settings (for mail) and no option to edit an existing alarm for email notification
documentation didn't help much.  actions menu only has 'new datacenter' 'new folder' and 'new distributed switch'

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First you need to understand that vCenter 6.7 HTML5 page don't have all 100% features. So some of the changes still need to be done with the old flex version.

So if you open you vCenter with Web Client flex page, you go to Configure - General - mail you can add your email address.

General email
For specific alarms is similar, go to Monitor and Select Issues and you get Alarm definitions.
