Domain Naming Transfer

I recently transferred a domain to my Registrar using the domain key.

After the transfer, I checked the whois database. All the information has been updated except Registrant and Registrant ID

I have contacted my registrar(Godaddy), they said these records will be updated in a couple of days automatically . I am not sure they are right. my understanding is the domain still belongs to previous company, we only have control of it. I need to transfer the ownership as well.

Does anyone have know to update these records to my company details?

Transferring from registrar yo registrar takes time.
Depending whether your transition only deals with who the registrar is, I.e. The record will point to the same DNS servers, there is nothing you need toad allow the process to complete.

However, if the transfer between registrars includes a transition on name server records, do not wait god the process to complete, but instead get into the DNS configuration panel on the newregistrar and setup the records as they exist in the prior registrar.
Then allowfor the transition to complete.

It be ones more complicated if the transition between registrars, and Nameservers, includes other changes.
iOS, etc.
In which case you would/shoukd make alterations on the former DNS records to point to the new, while on the new registrar DNS record you point them to the same new IPs ......

The three scenarios should cover all possible options.
To minimize transition difficulties...

IMO:  You might consider a more reliable registrar than goflabby.  Since it was sold their service level has gone progressively and monotonically downhill.

I've also tried Namecheap, 1&1 (the worst I ever encountered) and most of the major others.

Now I use Namesilo, which may not be the cheapest -- but they're moderately priced, quick and their web interface is easy to use.
