Overlay Data?
Hi there,
I have a report that has several columns but have just been asked to add a notes field which means that the lines used to create columns will appear in the notes as well, dividing the text. Is there a way to retain the clarity provided by the lines but if there is a note for the lines to "suppress" or "disappear" when a note is present? - Perhaps overlay? But I can't figure this out - thanks so much in advance,
CS
*Crystal 11 is the product I am using

WHen you say CR 11 do you mean CR XI or CR 2011?
I assume these are vertical lines that are a problem and the notes field is wider than the columns?
Do the lines cross section boundaries?
If not simply add a ssection below the details and put the notes in there.

Hi there,
Attached is an snippet of the report - I don't think this can be done but I would like to keep the lines and placement but would love it if somehow the notes could overlap the lines when notes are present in the report utilizing the space from left to right rather than top to bottom This is Crystal XI -
thank you - CS

First, I really dislike these bars of not helpful and extremely helpful - Raghavendra's comment was to seek additional information, it doesn't qualify as not helpful.
That being said, mlmcc I believe you are correct and we are bound by the software's restrictions since it is also used by the user and their other reports.
thanks so much - Colleen

Can you provide a screenshot of the report which shows the issue and the intended way?
