outlook This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer

Hi, I didn't realize that uninstalling Chrome while it was the default browser would cause a problem, I was just trying to fix an issue where it kept hanging. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome.

I've gone into default programs and set chrome as the default, rebooted, etc. Same issue. And if I close chrome and stop all its processes, then make internet explorer the default program, I get the same error when I click on a link in an outlook email.

Advice to fix this? Thanks.

I am not sure what might have happened. Try the following:

Uninstall Chrome.
Uninstall Office.
Install Chrome.
Install Office.

Update all and restart again.

Don't know that I have the Office CD, but I can try uninstalling chrome, making IE the default browser, reinstalling chrome and then making that the default browser?
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Try that and see if it works.
