PowerPoint 2016 Linked/Synced slides will not update
I use this feature often and it's been working but with a recent update, the slides no longer display the synced icon by the slide number and when i open the document it doesnt update.
Any fix?

Im not in Sharepoint 2016. This is the reuse slide and "Tell me when this slide changes" check boxes.
That feature is tied to Sharepoint, so it must be in the mix somewhere. There are no "Tell me when this slide changes" options otherwise. Because Sharepoint no longer supports this feature, the feature also doesn't work in PowerPoint.

Yes, as I mentioned, the feature has been discontinued. The recent update finally implemented the change.
Slide libraries were introduced in Microsoft Office 2007 to allow folks to share slides. Now Office has co-authoring features that serve as an alternative to slide libraries. If you want to share slides now, we recommend that you use the sharing and co-authoring features in PowerPoint to do so.
Slide libraries are a legacy feature of SharePoint. SharePoint 2016 can't make a slide library.
To translate, the slide libraries feature has been discontinued. (Sorry.) Microsoft recommends using coauthoring features, which I know is not really the same thing. (Irritating, isn't i?) There are a number of slide management products out there -- you should probably start investigating those if you need to keep updated slides. (Google Slide Library Software and Slide Management Products as a start.)
