I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi, if no backup was taken or Previous Versions (Shadow Copies) or Work Folders sync was set up on the location where Edge keeps the database we are toast.

I wrote up a blog post about what happened to us here: WARNING: Edge (Sync) Ate All Favourites - Favourites Gone!

There may be a slim chance to recover them via something like Get Data Back for NTFS (RunTime.Org) but I wouldn't hold my hopes up too high. In our case, the system is Solid-State for storage so no go without third party.

Something went sideways in the sync setup. Since the favourites are now in a database setting and not individual files I'm wondering if there may be more room for things going bad like this.

The other thing that can be done is to set up a sync of the Spartan database which I should add to the blog post now that I think of it.
