A scope has only 3 settings, zoom, elevation and windage
First you have to zero your scope using the same ammunition you will be using normally.  A change in the ammunition will mean re-zeroing the scope.  One normally mounts the rifle in a stand while doing this (eliminates the human element) while doing this. Zero the scope at the normal shooting distance, you should be hitting the center of the bulls-eye in a very tight group.  A cold barrel will affect the bullet.  You have to zero with everything being equal. same rifle, same scope settings, same ammo, same barrel temperature (hot/cold).  You want to do the zeroing on a calm day otherwise wind will move the bullet after it leaves the barrel and before it hits the target.

In competition or long range shooting then every variable must be taken into consideration.  Temperature, Air Pressure, wind, difference in elevation from the shooter to the target.

the degree of zeroing and the amount of data that you put into your data book can be quite extensive

Depending upon the quality of the zoom it can throw off all of your other calculations. Match shooters use a fixed magnification (one more variable to not be concerned about)

It takes a lot of practice shooting to know your scope. Most of the above is immaterial if the range is under 200 yards(Metres)
because of recoil, don't put your eye on the scope's eyepiece

Scenario:  There is no wind. Zeroing is done.  Few hours later it's windy.  Wind will move the bullet after it leaves the barrel and before it hits the target?

How to take every variable into consideration ?

"the degree of zeroing and the amount of data that you put into your data book can be quite extensive"
Not sure what you mean

"Most of the above is immaterial if the range is under 200 yards"
Please also answer original question for below 200 yards.

>> "because of recoil, don't put your eye on the scope's eyepiece"
I don't know what this means
