Need user password revealer for Windows 7

I am at a user site trying to set up a new PC.  They have a user named 'Copier' on their Win7 PC that allows their multifunction printer to send in scans.  They do not know the password for this user, and can't find anyone that does know.  So I need to find a utility that can reveal the password for the 'Copier' user, so I can set it up properly on the new PC.

Is there a legit, easy to use product I can purchase for this purpose?  TIA

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not that I know. Log in as admin and reset the password.

Reset it to what?  That's the problem...I need to know what the current password is so I can set that user up on the new PC with the same password, so their "copier" can continue to send scans to the new PC.

Newly released Acronis True Image 2019

In announcing the release of the 15th Anniversary Edition of Acronis True Image 2019, the company revealed that its artificial intelligence-based anti-ransomware technology – stopped more than 200,000 ransomware attacks on 150,000 customers last year.

Of course there are tools to do that, either by monitoring login attempts or working with the password hashes for a properly set up account. But that is "cracking" and banned on Experts Exchange, because of the severe misuse it allows.

However, you should be able to change the login info on the multifunction device. That is definitely the best way to proceed. I would not even try to reveal the current password by other means - unless you want to show the folks that you are able to do so.

Shaun Vermaak, I downloaded it, but I don't see how to use it to reveal an existing user password.  If I go to manage users, I can change the password, but it does not require me to key in the old password first, nor does it ask me if go to delete the password.  And of course they never log into this user account.  So where could I go in Windows7 to use this showpw tool to reveal that password for the "Copier" account?

Nucleus Technologis has Kernel Password Unmask. Start it, hover over the password and if it can be revealed, it will show. I have used this for legitimate purposes at clients when people forget their VPN password and like. It does not handle Windows passwords though.

Ah, an existing user. Do a password dump and crack it on hashkiller
