Oh this is amusing. Having just registered for EE and put a problem up I thought I'd browse Excel as a crack hand at that stuff. So looked at your .xls and the obvious answer was =ROUND(MIN(5,C3),0). A logically more sound way to deal with what is going on, but get to exactly the same answer so who cares!

What I didn't notice in my EE nouvettedom is the q is marked as answered! =INT(MIN(5,C3+0.5)) is another way to skin that cat...
Skinning cats seems popular, everyone is at it. :)
