You do not need to store any of the blockchain if you use an online wallet or a client like Electrum. I thought I explained that in your last question.

https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet lists loads of different wallets, Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Knots are full clients that hold the whole blockchain but the others don't. I use Electrum on my PC but they have a mobile phone version too.

You can actually start mining to some pools without a wallet at all, but you can't get the money out until you do get a wallet of course.

Wat do you intend mining with? I already said you cannot mine with a PC nowadays, you need an ASIC such as Antminer S9 which costs $450 from Bitmain or up to $2000 on eBay.

Electrum calls it a seed rather than a password, if you lose that and your computer disk dies then bye bye bitcoin. I don't know about the online wallets

You don't need to download the blockchain to pool mine, as the data needed for mining is sent to you from the pool.
