Remove Office MAK license

HI David - This server originally was MAK. I stood up a KMS server for OS and Office and converted the licenses on the servers. The /inpkey switch is what I used to install the KMS license.  Should that have removed the MAK entirely?

MAK keys don't expire, KMS keys do expire after 180 days. You are using KMS

Yes correct. What I trying to figure out is why after installing the KMS key the MAK continues to be there. I wouldn't care but for some reason after a restart the system wants to use the MAK rather than the KMS key.

How do I get rid of the MAK?

run this
cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus
run this next (may have many keys to remove
cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:<last five characters of product key>

when cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus doesn't return a key now import your KMS key

The below is the output from /dstatusall which shows the MAK license. You will notice there is no key info. If i run /dstatus it only shows the KMS license

ok then from /dstatusall remove the key using /unpkey:

I cannot remove the MAK key because there is no key information.
