Copy folders and files to external drive from a serve
I have a file server (SBS 2008) with 4TB folders & files. Mostly documents and images. I need to "copy", not back up, these files and folders.
I'm leary about just doing a copy/paste to an external (portable) drive, because I don't want to loose anything in the process. What is the easiest and fastest way to go about this?

i hope you have usb 3 ports, and a usb3 external drive?
if not i would connect a drive internally to the sata cables, and copy the files needed
if too many maps and folders, i would do it in groups, not the 4 TB in one go

Thanks everyone.
You are very welcome and I was happy to help.
You can run it once (will take ages - days likely), then re-run after to bring up to date and capture anything that had problems in the first run.
