I would definitely use RoboCopy for this.<br />

You can run it once (will take ages - days likely), then re-run after to bring up to date and capture anything that had problems in the first run.<br />

i hope you have usb 3 ports, and a usb3 external drive?<br />
if not i would connect a drive internally to the sata cables, and copy the files needed<br />
if too many maps and folders, i would do it in groups, not the 4 TB in one go
