"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do you mean in the Search Console?

You can't update the URL of a Property in that tool. If you've got the wrong URL, just delete the Property and add the correct one.

In webmaster tools, you should set up every version of your domain, including www and non-www, plus http and https versions. This way you have visibility into what versions of your site are indexed.
David FavorLinux/LXD/WordPress/Hosting SavantCommented:
To get this working, you must submit the following.

https://domain.com
https://www.domain.com

Both must be verified, then you select which you prefer as your default domain (shows up in searches).

Or are you asking how to redirect your www to the naked domain?  This should be done at your server.

To use the search console, go to the old webmaster tools https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home and you will see a blue button at the top of the page to try the new search console.

http://www
or

am I in the correct place?

Make sure you are in the, "old version", click on the to big gear on the top right and go to settings. Your choice will be there.

Really this should be done on your server by 301 redirecting www to the naked domain (non-www). When you do that, Google will pick it up that way.
rgb192Author Commented:
how to get to "old version"
Terry WoodsIT GuruCommented:
There is a "Go to the old version" link on the left sidebar menu, at the bottom, on the new version of the Search Console.
rgb192Author Commented:
I see a button at the top middle "use new search console".  But I cant find www/(non www) button
Terry WoodsIT GuruCommented:
If your site is added to the search console with the www, then delete it and re-add it without the www. There isn't a button for www/non-www. When you add a site to the search console, you choose the URL to add.
rgb192Author Commented:
If i delete www will i see my history?
And vice versa
Terry WoodsIT GuruCommented:
No, my understanding is that deleting it erases the history.
