One Drive for Business storage space prices

I'm a current office 365 subscriber interested in purchasing more One Drive for Business storage space (above the 1TB limit that I currently have) to store Veeam Server 2016 backups in the cloud.

What website resources are available that describe how much more it will cost to purchase additional Office 365 One Drive for Business storage space?

I don't think that's going to happen. ODfB is SharePoint on the backend.

There will be file size and file count issues.

I suggest BackBlaze as a very inexpensive place to start looking into.

Does anyone else know if it is possible to purchase additional storage capacity for One Drive for Business?
  1. Download the latest SharePoint Online Management Shell.
  2. Connect to SharePoint Online as a global admin or SharePoint admin in Office 365.
  3. Run the following command:
Set-SPOSite -Identity <user's OneDrive URL> -StorageQuota <quota>

I already know that my One Drive for Business storage quota with my current plan is 1 TB.

What I'm trying to determine is how much it will cost for me to buy additional storage so I can start storing Veeam backups in the cloud.
And what makes you think that this is a scenario that is allowed by Microsoft's licensing terms, or ecen technically possible? ODFB is intended to be used for document storage and collaboration and lightweight use of other file types, and is definitely not a fileserver type of solution.

This is mentioned several times in these attached documents that I got from Veeam.

This should provide you with the info you're looking for

One blog post I've come across in searching this out indicated to log on to the ODfB console and extend the available storage for the user to 5TB. Anything beyond that requires a call in to ODfB support. The post was a bit dated but worth a try.
