Why Does Excel Always Open PERSONALS.XLSB at Startup

Every time I open Excel it also opens my

PERSONAL.XLSB

file.

PERSONAL.xlsb is hidden workbook and should always open with Excel. If it is opening as a visible workbook then you have not set it up correctly.

Make the personal workbook the active workbook them in the View Tab you cam make it Hidden, then close Excel & save changes.

The Personal.xlsb file is stored in the XLSTARTUP folder where Excel looks for files at startup and will open any file in that folder.
