"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. PERSONAL.xlsb is hidden workbook and should always open with Excel. If it is opening as a visible workbook then you have not set it up correctly.

Make the personal workbook the active workbook them in the View Tab you cam make it Hidden, then close Excel & save changes.
