Auto Office/Windows Updates

Anything opened in the browser or any SW i.e. Excel Word packages, although closed prior to the system being shut down, is auto-opened when powering back up - looks like recovery files functionality. Why is it defaulting to this and what to do to correct, many thanks,

Make sure you have closed and exited from Browser, all Office Applications, and Windows Explorer before shutting down.

Look in Taskbar Settings (right click on Taskbar), then Select which items appear on taskbar.  See what is hidden and what shows.  Look in that Up Arrow in the system tray and closing Office Applications.

Determine if some applications (Skype for example) have been set to start when Windows starts.

Review all the above, change what you need, close out before shutting down and then these apps will not restart on startup.

I am using V1803 on a number of machines including client and my own machines and Browsers, Word, Excel and so on do not start with Windows.
