New exchange 2013 installation - don't want to use RBAC permissions model. It seems like my Exchange server has defaulted to this model and i can't find a way to switch back to the model I had with Exchange server 2010. In that model the domain admin simply had access to everything.

Full breakdown of USG and how to assign
You can't remove RBAC, is it a core component of the Exchange security model and in fact is part of Exchange 2010, even if you don't realize it. You will need to add your admin users to the appropriate role groups in order for them to have the desired access.

I had to delete the admin@mydomain entry which already appeared under permissions and re-add it which did the trick.
Thank you !
