MY HP Scanjet 7000 scanner does not remain "on" after powering device on.

I have a HP Scanjet 7000 scanner connected to my Windows 7 computer.  The scanner has been working great until two weeks ago.

When I power on the scanner, the words "warming up" appear in the display window for about 30 seconds.  Then the machine powers itself off.

When I switch the power button on the back of the scanner from on to off, then on again, the words "warming up" appear, then the cycle above repeats itself.

What could be the problem?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The power supply is "blinking" green, instead of a solid green.  Evidently I need to replace the power supply, which I found on amazon.com.
