Attach button does nothing in OWA on new Exchange 2010

Attach button does nothing in OWA on new Exchange 2010.

I am in the process of  moving mailboxes from one exchange 2010 server running old hardware to be retired to a new Exchange 2010 server. The attach button in a new email message in OWA doesn't respond whereas on the old server does.

The old server is Windows Server 2008 R2 with Exchange 2010 SP3 latest update rollup.

The new server is Windows Server 2012 with Exchange 2010 SP3 latest update rollup.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I am currently setting up a new 2008 R2 server to test if IIS version is the cause.

Are you using Google Chrome...
Saif ShaikhServer engineer Commented:
If you use Google Chrome to access the Outlook Web App (OWA), you will not be able to use some of the button functions at the top of the composition window, including Attach File, Insert Picture, Address Book, and Check Names.

The problem is caused by Google ending support for a function called "showModalDialog", which OWA uses to open dialog boxes for these tasks. The buttons in the message composition window appear unresponsive; they highlight when you click them, but nothing happens. This can be confusing, because other buttons next to them (e.g., Send, Save, and Importance) work properly.

As a workaround, use a different browser.

The browser I am using is Edge.

Using Edge the button works on the old server and in the same web browser the button doesn't work on the new server.

Turns out it is an IIS issue. The new 2008 R2 server I setup doesn't have this problem, so the latest version that Exchange 2010 OWA can run on is 2008 R2 if you want the attach button to work.
