Yes, the error indicates that the hard drive is beginning to fail or show signs of data inconsistency. &nbsp;It does NOT necessarily mean that there is any data loss or damaged files YET .. but the risks are raised once you start getting errors of this type on a hard drive.<br />

While repairing APFS Partition using Disk utility first Aid tool, I received an error message saying “First Aid Process Failed. If possible backup the data on this volume”. Then I restarted the Mac in recovery mode and again tried the same process but got the same error. Are there any chances of data loss? What Should I do to resolve this error message?
