I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That is not a valid solution at least for my question,
Obviously if I break it to smaller chunks I would be able to store it online, but the whole purpose of this question is how do I avoid doing that.

I don't want to have 10 PST files.

Storing it on an external hard drive, is NOT what I asked, I specifically specified "online  backup" . so that's not valid either.

And that is again incorrect , one drive has a limit of one file sizes. now it caps at 10GB (https://www.pcworld.com/article/2605912/onedrive-now-allows-files-of-up-to-10gb.html)

I have 1TB of space. , but the PST file is 20gb. so again you answer isn't relevant.

My question is very specific , I asked cause I can't upload big files . I know that I can break them now. but that isn't a valid solution. if I wanted to do I would ask how do I break a pst file if I didn't know. there is question. if you know the answer should answer if no, you shouldn't. pretty simple.

A valid solution is something like "Google Drive lets users upload files up to 5TB in size, as long as they're not converted to Google Docs, Slides and Sheets."

If you don't have an answer, just don't answer.

"You have a chip on your shoulder 10 miles long. "

You are the one pontificating, like I said if you don't know the answer, simply don't answer.

Otherwise you're misleading.

Hi,

As per my understanding you have problem with your large pst file (20 gb), splitting .pst file such not a solution, have you try to compress your .pst file?

Let use the trial version of SysTools PST Compress Tool if its works then reply me.

Here is the link: https://www.systoolsgroup.com/pst-compress.html

Thanks

The biggest problem that I can foresee is there is no changed block tracking so you would have to version control things yourself.
Perhaps a better alternative would be Amazon S3 or Azure File Storage using a client like cloudberry backup (that does have changed block tracking)

At least now you won't be spending all of the bandwidth uploading every day and having to wait for the upload to complete before you start another upload.
This Site mirrors my upload connection speed 10mbits/sec which using their calculater will take approx 6 1/4 hours.

Without splitting the PST file, OneDrive is not a solution you can use.

When dealing with files of that size, I'd be looking at something like Acronis True Image 2019 to backup with, and then store on their Acronis Cloud servers. If the PST file you're backing up is Live, then the benefits of doing this also include only needing to back up the entire 20GB PST once. Future daily backups could be made as Incrementals, where only the changes to the PST file are created and then uploaded into Cloud Storage.

Alternatively, what do you use to backup with now? Do you have any backup routine configured? Your current backup software could offer you a solution to the problem without your knowing about it yet.
