I had a calendar created in my outlook and shared with the users earlier and they could see it as they had permission .
i renamed the calendar but the other users see the same old name.

It didn’t sync on its own
I see in calendar properties that new name but the calendar itself carries old name

You have done a change on the calendar inside a mailbox.
So is it a default calendar for the user or a custom calendar.

This calendar is created in user mail profile and is not shared mailbox
If you are using exchange that this renamed information should sync with the mailbox and may be you can try to close and reopen outlook and check if you are able to see the new information.
