Unable to cleanly uninstall Sohpos AV

We have experienced some issue with Sophos AV and Exchange server 2016. I want to uninstall Sophos but have been unable to do so cleanly(even with the help of their tech support). I remember that MS had and uninstall tool that worked very well. Is this tool available and if so where can I obtain it? If the answer is no what other options do I have.

IMO: Once any antivirus has been installed into a system, that system is forever compromised as far as getting it out cleanly.  Antiviruses hook into many parts of the system and some of them cannot be cleanly unhooked.  Further, I have yet to see any product that removes all of its keys from the Registry.

The only 100% reliable solutions are (a) Restore the system using a backup created before the antivirus was installed, or (b) Reload Windows from scratch.

Personally when I run into such a problem I always say "I'm very sorry, but all I can do is reload Windows."  It may burn 4 hours today but it saves a lot of time over the long run.

I misstated my issue. The product I am trying to remove is Pure Message for Exchange server which is a Sophos product.
Hi Barry,

If you want to uninstall PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, please follow these steps:

1. If the PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange Administration console is open on any server, close it.
2. At the taskbar, click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
3. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
4. In the Add/Remove Programs dialog box, select Sophos PureMessage and click Remove.
5. In the Confirm Uninstall message box, click Yes.
A progress bar is displayed. Wait for uninstallation to complete.

Regards
Valentina
