Chrome launching local app protocol handler only works once
I think there's a bug in the latest Chrome update Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit).
Been testing a web page that opens a new tab that launches a uri protocol handler in Windows to open a local application to receive data. 1st run works, tab opens, local app opened and data passed. Subsequent runs open new tab but local app never opens. Found that all I need to do is click anywhere in any page in between runs, then next run works. Just closing the pop up tab or switching tabs does not solve the problem. I have to click in any open page even if just in blank space.
I tested this a little a few weeks ago and did not notice this issue before Chrome updated.
Same test in Internet Explorer works fine.
I have tested with two different exe's as the application, and also on 3 different pc's with Chrome.
