InDesign won't open on new iMac.

InDesign CC won't open on my 2018 iMac. It's stuck on loading until I eventually have to force quit. I've tried using past versions of it too, such as 2017, and I get the same issue. My other Adobe programs work fine. I've also tried opening InDesign CC on a work Macbook and a personal Macbook which worked fine. Something about this new iMac is trippy.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have e seen this with other Adobe products. Often it involves uninstalling all Adobe products and reinstalling, which is a total pain.

You could try and find the all the plist files for that app and delete them all by hand to see if this is a preference problem.

Have you contacted Adobe, and what do they tell you?

I spoke with Adobe and their tech deleted my preferences then had me restart my computer. So it did have something to do with deleting some files. I just wasn't sure which. All fixed now, thanks!
Owen RubinConsultantCommented:
Excellent. Old preferences files can cause some strange behaviors. Glad it's working now.

Oh, and sorry, i was remote on a phone when I answered so I couldn't give you pointers to all the files. I  sometimes forget that not everyone knows where those are stored.
