Outlook error moving folder to Online Archive

When moving a folder from an Outlook client into an Online Archive an error is thrown, the process completes but the source folder is not deleted.

This seems to happen in cached mode only.

The issue  was raised below but with no real resolution.

I have found this for Outlook 2010.

Moving a folder in Outlook is a "foreground" operation and depending on the size of the folder can take a loooong time to complete. I would advise performing the move from OWA instead.

Thanks for the reply. I have tested with a new folder and a several items, the behavior is the same.
What is the error? Also I believe the correct action is the folder stays but all the mail items are moved.

I don't have the issue in online mode, Outlook 2013. MS also posted a fix for this in Outlook 2010.
It says a top level folder can't moved to one of its subfolders. Seem self explanatory. It seems that you are attempting to move say the inbox, to the archive but you are attempting to move it to one if the inbox's subfolders. Seems that is the error. Move the folder structure the same of just move to different locations.

Thanks Tim, I am moving the folder to the root of the archive, it's obviously supposed to work otherwise MS would not have released a fix for 2010. I might just have to open a case with MS.
