How to set a "view" to "list view" on all folders/directories permanently in Windows 8.1?

Windows settings: How to set a "view" to "list view" on all folders/directories permanently in Windows 8.1?

Almost every time I'm entering a directory on windows 8.1, I have to set the "view" again to "list", which is my preference.
I couldn't find any solution when looking up for the right setting on the PC. I also didn't find anything about that issue when searching for it online.

Thanks in advance.

The Windows Explorer changes view from time to time, especially if adding new folders.

The only way I have found that works like Explorer but retains its views until and unless you change it is xPlorer2 ( I have been using this for years and would not be without it. I am running xPlorer2 now on Windows 10 V1803. It runs in Windows 8 and Windows 7.
