I am stuck on a problem with outlook sending to wrong internal mail address.
Mail environment is Office 365/Exchange online
On a shared mailbox I deleted a mail alias and added the same mail alias to another user's mailbox.
shared mailbox: email@example.com
User mailbox: firstname.lastname@example.org
shared mailbox: email@example.com
User mailbox: renamed from firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com
The problem is that when I send an email from outlook 2016 to firstname.lastname@example.org it is delivered to email@example.com
But if I send send the email from webmail it is delivered correctly to firstname.lastname@example.org
And email from my colleague end up in the same wrong mailbox, so the problem is not local to my outlook 2016.
I am thinking that there is something in outlook that is not updating correctly.
