How to lock in stone my desired startup page in Chrome

Is there a "feature", app, utility or ANY method that will tell Windows 10 to NEVER change my Chrome startup page unless I specifically authorize it? I want my startup page to ALWAYS be https://www.google.com   Somehow it seems that something is able to change it at will to something else. Lately I am getting Home Depot's main page. I need some way of locking the page I want in CONCRETE as much as is possible. Does anyone have any suggestions that might work for me.

Double check your settings, options that your chrone opens the specified page. Often the reason it changes is through frastration where a dire prompts on whether you want it as the default, ...

In a non-ad, home, look at using local group policy to set the setting ...

If it is not what you want, it is fairly straight forward to change it.

At tines installing apps, components can alter/change ...

Ms does not provide windows with stone carving options, so if they choose to change it.....that's it...
There is something that is close to "carved in stone" and that is GPOs.

If you are using win10 professional or enterprise, Just go to https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/187202?hl=en and follow the steps.
If however you are running wn10 home, please tell me so I can tell you an alternate way.

I am running Windows 10 PRO.
Good. Now follow the steps in my link. If you need help, just ask and tell me with what step.
Paul Sauvé I use your method often, but, somehow, it changes to a different page. In the meanwhile I have tried it again and hope for the best. There really should be an option that says "You are about to change your default Chrome page. Do you really want to do this?"  That would be nice instead of winding up at www.i couldnotcarelessaboutthisworthlessunwantedspampage.com
The selected solution is wrong since it can be easily overridden (for example using my way).
Say, why wouldn't you use the how to that I linked?
