I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

please use Eclipse and even if want to use for junit testing go for IntellijIdea community version, by the way mostly eclipse followed
but in case of swing/JavaFx development I will suggest Netbeans as it has GUIBuilder feature.moreover its a personal choice but netbeans will help here.

please use swing if u want default look and feel views. JavaFx has more  rich content API's.JavaFX is compatible with Spring MVC.

so overall conclusion- use Netbeans and JAvaFX
