Hi John
Thanks for getting back to me, however within the System devices menu i wasn't able to find Power Management. I did try to update the other drivers like the BIOS and Chipset and even did a windows update but the problem still continues.

Thanks for your help though

Go to Control Panel, Power Options, and for your plan, Advanced Power Options. Review Suspend Options and ensure Hybrid Sleep and Hibernate are OFF.

Also in Power Options, look for Fast Start. You need to enable Admin Options to change this. Turn Fast Start OFF and test that as well

Any luck with disabling Fast Startup?

Hi John,

thanks for the advice, but unfortunately i'm still having the same issues. When I lock the PC before i go out, and return couple minutes after the PC is frozen and my keyboard and mouse don't respond.

Try doing a Windows 10 Repair Install from the Media Creation Link. The Repair updates all drivers.

Go to the Media Creation Link:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

For Windows 10 V1803:
Create a USB Windows Installation key and then run Setup on the USB Key.
This will launch the Repair and proceed normally.

If a repair fails, you will need to back up and reinstall Windows.

Hi John,

i tried the media creation link but it didn't work.

its a new PC so i was hoping to now have to re-install the OS.

If the media Creation Link does not work, back up the data and reinstall Windows

Hi Nobus,

i checked the event viewer and there was an error level which said the system had shutdown unexpectedly.
And another which was critical and says, The System has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

you may have hardware problems - Β can you access the inter net? Β  check also in device man, ager for errors

And what exactly did not work with the media creation link?
could you access the site, or not?
download the software, or did you get errors?

I asked earlier "Also for sure Update BIOS and Chipset as well "

You did that, so why did you accept your own solution and not the same solution provided earlier?

Hi John,

Well when you gave me that solution i took it for the bios within the device manager section and when i went there it said it was already up to date.

So i don't know if there that's the same thing But if that one in device manager said it was up to date why would there be another in the update by the hp support software.

Sorry i don't really know much about bios etc.

Operating systems perform basic tasks, such as recognizing input from the keyboard, sending output to the display screen, keeping track of files and directories on the disk, and controlling peripheral devices such as disk drives and printers. For large systems, the operating system makes sure that different programs and users running at the same time do not interfere with each other. The operating system is also responsible for security, ensuring that unauthorized users do not access the system. Operating systems provide a software platform on top of which other programs, called application programs, can run.
