Share Final Cut Pro project using ShareFile folder

I am trying to share an online drive for an FCPX project. I want to have my co-worker open the same library and have access to the assets in a ShareFile drive.
I created and sharing a folder. I have some assets in a folder, when I try to import them I can see them and even preview them, but when I import it then the assents slide in FCP shows as missing file. Why?  and how to correct this?
Also, can two users have the same FCP library open at the same time?
Otherwise, how can we collaborate on the same project?

Its been a while, but I think your issue is access paths, as in the path to the files in the project differ between opening them locally and opening from another Mac overt the network to a share on your Mac.

The traditional method of solving this issue is to use XSAN with iSCSI storage

Or you could use a suitable NAS
