You had said this tablet could be reset so proceed as follows:

Just tap the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
Make sure tablet is powered off.
Hold down Volume + button and Power button at same time.
When screen comes on let go of Power button.
When the large Android shows on screen let go of Volume + button.
Use Volume – button to scroll to Wipe Data/ Factory Reset.

Hi John

Thank you very much for your step by step guide in addition to the link.  Unfortunately, it did not work despite of several efforts.

I think I am going to call it a night and try to pick back upon this tomorrow.

Hello and Good Afternoon John :-)

Thank you for collaboratively working with me in an attempt to resolve my issue.  At the moment, I am at work and can not thoroughly go over your follow up thread link.  However, I certainly will be checking it over tonight.   Seeing that this android has a tiny hole for Reset, I am wondering how it might can be used to aid in resetting the android back to it original settings, thus, bypassing the required and forgotten password entry.  Initially, as  you noticed within another currently open post, that I attempted this approach.  Unfortunately, merely inserting a tiny metal paper clip did not work.  I am not sure if there is any information regarding the proper protocol for using the Reset entry hole located on this android.  It seems like it would be a nice and easy way of resolving this situation if we can find the necessary steps.

Was the machine ON when you tried to reset it?  If ON and the above steps do not work, the machine may not be recoverable.

Please let us know later.

Thank you, John, for taking the time to research this concern.  My friend will be trying out various suggestions given within your link of http://www.androidtablets.net/threads/how-do-i-factory-reset-my-tablet.62022/ this weekend.  Seeing that all of the other efforts have failed with respect to resetting the android, I believe this cited link is our last hope.  If I should hear of a strategy within your given link that proves fruitful in resolving the inability to reset the android, I will post back right away.

Thanks again, John, for your hard work in researching the proper resources to consider and use.
