VMWare workstation upgrade

I am running VMware workstation 12 Pro , 12.5.7 build-5813279

I wish to upgrade to version 15.

Until recently ( a couple of days ago), when I started VMware workstation I would get a prompt offering the chance to up-grade to version 15.

Today I decided to do so but the prompt to update didn't and now doesn't appear when I start VMware workstation.

How can I restore the state whereby I get a prompt to upgrade ?

I have tried the VMware  web site but it need to login to my account but the login doesn't accept the credentials that I supply. I have searched through my e-mails and I have no record of my customer number which was first issued when I purchased VMware workstation 8 a long time ago.

Is there any way that I can contact VMware in the UK to resolve this without having to purchase a support incident ? The e-mail account that I originally used to create my account when purchasing VMware workstation 8 is no longer valid and I need to register my new e-mail address.

I am looking for either  a) or b) below (preferably b)

a)  A VMware UK telephone number to help resolve this issue. I have the activation code for the current VMware workstation version 12

b) A way to reset WMWare workstation so that it will automatically prompt me to get an upgrade

I have performed all previous upgrades this way and don't recall that with this method there is no need to authenticate eligibility as the software to be  upgraded is already installed.

I have confirmed that "check for update" was indeed checked, I manually launched the check for updates and ended up in the same situation where in order to purchase the update from version 12, I needed my customer number or a valid e-mail address.
So I will need to contact the US by phone to resolve the issue.
My current license is perpetual, I wasn't expecting to update for free but the upgrade price is considerably cheaper than purchasing a new version.
Just go to the website and purchase V15. When you do that, try to log in. If your email works, click on lost password. That will work.

I have V15 running and it works fine. I upgraded at upgrade price from V14. I am not sure if your version is too far back.
I found the password in the end an was able to login to my Vmware and acquire the update to version 15 of VMware workstation.
Thanks for your comments,

Roger
Thanks to for the update
