Set up source connection as a parameter in SSIS packages

Is it possible to create an SSIS package in Visual Studio with the Server Name and Data Source in the Source object as a parameter, so that you can provide the SQL server name at runtime?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could use a configuration file for the SSIS package like described here:

Hi, Yes sure, that's the main reason variable and parameters are being used for when you move the package from DEV to QA or to PROD, the server name and credentials are usually different.

I'd assume that you're using SQL 2012 + since you mentioned the word "parameter"
