Best option for upgrade from vSphere 6.0 Essentials

Have a customer who is looking to upgrade from vSphere 6.0 Essentials to 6.0 Essentials Plus

Now i know that Essentials is limited to 3 hosts

At present there are 3 hosts, this may grow in the future

What would people recommend regarding an upgrade?

How much (approx) does upgrade from Essentials to Essentials Plus cost?

Also would they better off upgrading to a Standard kit so future scalability would not be affected, from what I have read there is no wiggle room for scalibity with Essentials\Essentials Plus

Is it true that the 3 host licences you get with Essentials can't work with a regular vCenter Standard edition later either?

Great Andrew jeez that looks like a huge mistake from their previous vendor to go with Essentials

Must be an area VMWare make good money on, when not planned correctly yeah?
I can't think of any good reason for a company to get Essentials for any new customer unless they are always going to stay under 3 hosts

Thanks again
We didn't make the sale....

as Essentials, is really a poor man solution, Lab environments really....

It's not a lot of money £500 GBP! (approx).

and is really throw away, Starter Edition...
