Lenovo V3700 V2 - Port status degraded

Dear Experts,

I have setup the pools, added the storage, configured the volumes and mapped them to the host.

On the two 2012 r2 servers that are connected to the SANs, they are able to see the 4 volumes created.

But the SAN is showing that both fiber ports status of the two servers connecting to the SANs are degraded.

Hi,

The host port status of degraded indicates that the host port probably isn't logged into both node canisters i.e. connect 1 fiber to each cannister to ensure cannister and HBA redundancy.

Cheers

Hi! dfke,

As you can see, all the host are degraded.

But when combine one host to use two fiber connections, it says online.

But when we tried to do the failover, the server just freezes and have to hard restart the server.

I saw that there is a tab called "Host Cluster", may I know what is it?

Hi! dfke,

I have done as you suggested by adding a second port to each host.

But the failover does not work as the server will just hang to the point that we need to force shut down and start it up again.
