Outlook 2007 Crashes

Recently I needed to reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 on a 64-bit Windows 7 notebook.  Since then, Outlook crashes with a BEX error, when sending or receiving messages from three accounts, but not a fourth account.  What I have tried:  Repairing Office; Running Office Diagnostics (all tests were OK); Inbox repair tool; Disabling all COM add-ins and programmatic associations; Removing and re-adding the three POP mail accounts which trigger the issue; Turning off DEP.   The only thing which has stopped the crash is turning off Send/Receive for three of the four accounts.  I'd be grateful for input, but I'm not interested in replacing the Office software or operating system.  Both of those worked well until a few days ago.

Removing and re-adding the three POP mail accounts which trigger the issue... The only thing which has stopped the crash is turning off Send/Receive for three of the four accounts.

You need to Delete the Outlook Profile (not just re-add email accounts).  Go to Control Panel, Mail, and delete the Outlook profile. Restart the computer, make a new Outlook Profile and set up the accounts.

Public Service announcement: Outlook 2007 went end of support in October 2017. There have been no security updates released since then. Anyone still using Outlook 2007 is at high risk of getting their machine taken over by simply a malicious email.

Windows 7 end of support is January 2020, which is only 15 months away. It is really time to be replacing this machine with modern, patched software.

Yes that is true and Office should be upgraded. But until that is done, rebuilding the Outlook Profile may help.

Thank you both.  Deleting and creating a new Outlook profile did not change the behavior.

You can try two things:

1. Try a new, test Windows User Profile (not Outlook), log into the new Windows Profile (Account) and test Outlook.

2. Uninstall Office 2007, restart and install it again. Then test.

Thanks to both Experts.  Unintstalling and re-installing Office 2007 didn't remedy the behavior.   However, I discovered a saved disc image, from before the issue developed, and I am about to restore it.   If the restore is successful, this question will become moot.

Did you try a new Windows Account first just to see?

I did not do that.  My user account is extremely configured, and it would take days to recreate the specifications if I needed to start a new account.

You can make a test profile and see if that works. That will at least tell you if the problem is profile damage.

I agree that would be a helpful test.  But I restored a saved disk image, from before the crash started, and all accounts in Outlook work without any issue.  Thank you for your interest and guidance.

Thanks for the update
