Cloud adoption by banking - Real Life Examples

I am looking for those who worked with/in Banking sector to share:
- Some of the innovative usage/trends of cloud?
- How are Banks using cloud today? (In addition to lift and shift IaaS)
- Have Banks started looking at moving some of the mainframe to cloud?
- Open Banking? How does that fit in with cloud?
- Cloud Security Services?
- RPA in cloud?

Any shared experiences are greatly helpful and appreciated.

Banks + other financial institutions should never use Cloud Infrastructure as there's no clear indication of who has data at any given moment.

This will also likely break all sorts of banking + privacy law related to banks jurisdiction of domicile + also jurisdiction of customers connecting to bank.

Only physical machine, meeting all jurisdictional requirements may be used for banking... well... unless you're running a bank in some random place which has low threshold of law.

I agree with Btan, I am seeing most banks jump on the cloud bandwagon. In the past it has been lift and shift (mostly IaaS). However, now Banks are exploring more advanced use cases (Analytics, IoT, AI, etc), hence the question, what other advanced use cases are others seeing?

Thank you both for your input.
