Please look at the attached question from the SY0-501 practice exam.  URL Hijacking & Typo-squatting are the same thing, correct?  Which one would be correct?  I choose URL Hijacking, but it says incorrect & wanted typo-squatting.

Read through your practice information and see what it shows.  As example, here https://www.professormesser.com/security-plus/sy0-501/client-hijacking-attacks/ it shows Typo-squatting is a type url hijacking.  Does that mean all types of URL hijackings are typo-squatting ?

Typosquatting, also known as URL hijacking, is a form of cybersquatting (sitting on sites under someone else’s brand or copyright) that targets Internet users who incorrectly type a website address into their web browser (e.g., “Gooogle.com” instead of “Google.com”). When users make such a typographical error, they may be led to an alternative website owned by a hacker that is usually designed for malicious purposes.

So your answer would be both, Typo and URL.

ManieyaK,

I think you should re-consider the comment you selected.  Wes is saying both are correct. However, this is a test you are taking that is asking for the, "best" answer and you already found out that URLHijacking is not the answer. It can't be both.
