Finding photos on iCloud
I have an iPhone 6, and my computer is a Windows 10 machine. Today my phone died and I replaced it. Apple said that all my photos are backed up to the iCloud (I have an I.D. and password for iCloud), but when I go to the iCloud website I can't find where my photos are located. Can you help?
Thanks,
Phil

My iTunes backup is now set to my local computer, though up till several months ago it was set to backup to iCloud. When I was in the Apple store today they had me restore my data from iCloud, which said that there was a backup from just a couple of days ago. When I go to "Photos" on my phone I seem to have a lot of photos going way back - even though I move them to my computer every couple of days … doesn't that mean they're still in the Cloud somewhere?

… or are they on my computer somewhere?
Ahh ok, they will indeed be in the cloud, but not as individual photos. They will be in a proprietary backup file (not un-similar to the way a zip archive stores files) and I know of no way to extract individual items from an Apple iPhone cloud backup. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Perhaps some other experts may be able to offer a way.

So I guess the outstanding question is what good is the Apple backup for people who want to print their photos rather than just see them on their phones?
Hi Phil,
Further to my last, I did a little research and found the following which you may find helpful.
This utility from iMobie I think could be very useful to you.

Finally, this article from + dr.fone should also be of considerable help

An article from Apple on the topic

I hope that's helpful.

Thanks, guys. I'm sorry to have taken so much time … the first two times I signed into iCloud I didn't get the screen John showed - but this morning I did (go figure :(). Once clicking on the Photos icon it was easy to find and download and print the photos I needed. The other articles you sent helps me understand the whole iCloud-PC interface.
Thanks for the update.
That will only be the case if you had your iPhone 6 configured to back up to the Cloud and not just to your local machine. Apple's advice could be in error there and that's possibly why you can't see them in cloud storage.
How did you backup your iPhone 6? With iTunes? If so, how was it set? Did you try a restore of your new iPhone using iTunes restore function?
